Farm Secretary
Jo Spencer
In 1997 Jo joined the Practice as our Farm Secretary, and has become the first point of contact for
our local farming community. Her day involves arranging farm visits for our team of four Farm
Veterinary Surgeons as well as working out the rota system for our Small Animal Department. She
also has the unenviable task of dealing with Government Representatives with regard to legislation
and TB testing. The majority of her time is spent with our local Farmers which she knows on first
name terms. When she finally gets away from the practice she loves to spend time with her own
animals, (sheep, horses, chickens & her dog Milly) and at the present time is building an extension
on her house.

Karen Walker
Karen joined Cliffe Veterinary Group in 2004, having worked in various administrative roles.
She is mainly based at our Lewes surgery but can often be seen at either our Equine Clinic or
one of our branch surgeries at Ringmer or Woodingdean dealing with the problems which arise
in a busy veterinary practice. Her role of Practice Manager is very varied from administrative
duties or personnel issues to sorting IT problems or dog sitting the Vets dogs! and as she is
often heard to say ‘you never know what each day will throw at you’.
Away from the Practice she enjoys nothing better than a walk in the countryside with her dog Cassie.
