Pharmacy
We have an extensive pharmacy at our Lewes site and receive daily deliveries from a national veterinary wholesaler.
All POM-V and POM-VPS medicines are available to our clients and if the medicines you require are not on
the shelf then they can be ordered in for the next day.
Advice on correct and responsible use of veterinary medicines in food producing animals can be given
at any time during office hours.
In order to satisfy the legally required record keeping of all medicines going through the pharmacy, the
labeling requirements, and the veterinary authorisation of each sale, we require that all drug requests
be ordered at least 3 hours before collection wherever possible. 
Please note that veterinary surgeons are only permitted to supply Prescription Only Medicines (POM-V) to treat 'animals under our care'. If POM-V drugs are requested and no records are on file of recent examination of the relevant class of livestock, we are required to visit, assess the situation, and advise accordingly before prescribing. This is to ensure responsible prescribing and administration of medicines to food producing animals in the UK.
