Herd / Flock Health Plans
Health plans in the format required by Farm Assurance Schemes can be created for any farm enterprise.
These are reviewed annually and we seek to regard the health plan not just as a necessary document but also a means to improving health, fertility, and welfare on farms. Healthy animals result in healthy profits.
In 2007/8 the practice received some DEFRA funding to promote Herd Health Plans for our dairy and beef clients which is being used to help 5 Dairy clients and 5 Beef clients that have ongoing health or fertility problems.
